Born in Andhra Pradesh, India, Neeraja studied art under the guidance of Rameshwar Broota. She has been awarded the senior fellowship for her work by the ministry of culture, the government of India for the period 2017-2019.
She has also received the all India award by the All India fine arts and crafts society, New Delhi 2016.
